Lihle is currently a full-time PhD student at Nelson Mandela University. 

She has been with the TVET sector (private and public colleges) for fifteen years. She was the Head of Department (Business and Fundamental studies) and taught computer practice and life skills. 

Lihle was also an Inclusive Education Coordinator for the campus’s Inclusive Support Unit.  She also ran a three-year pilot project (2017 to 2019) as a Distance Learning Coordinator for TVETs’ distance learning implementation in KZN.  

Her special interest is on TVET education and the education of students with disabilities, particularly those with visual impairments.

MEd in Educational Psychology (University of Kwa-Zulu Natal) Thesis:  Access with success: A case of students with learning disabilities at a Technical and Vocational Education and Training College.
BEd Hons in Special Needs Education (University of South Africa)
NDip in Cost and Management Accounting (Mangosuthu University of Technology)
